April-Christ is Risen and Alive!

Easter season brings with it a renewal of life all around us. It is a time for new beginnings and a reminder that we have hope in our risen Savior.

Our annual virtual fundraiser was in March and can be viewed on our website: www.angelheartofhope.org or at www.angelheartofhope.org/celebration. We thank all of our volunteers, donors and annual Business Sponsors for YOUR support and will announce our total raised mid-April.

Families who have a child with cancer/life-threatening illnesses face many challenges including extra financial burdens and stress due to hospital stays. Your support gives hope to these families through our gifts and financial assistance programs. None of us at Angel Heart of Hope have a salary and we can't do this without YOU! No donation is too small and we are always accepting donations because the needs are ongoing.

We are ALWAYS in need of business annual sponsors to support our families throughout the year. This is how we receive some of our greatest amount of funding to help support our programs.

It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute! The monthly message is "Death Is Not The End But Only The Beginning."

As I pondered Christ's journey to the cross this Holy Week I felt various emotions- deep sadness over death, the loss of loved ones and what Jesus faced, awe of His humility, fear for the pain and suffering He would endure and then peace and joy, knowing that Christ had risen and is alive!

This year, Easter falls in between Bella's birthday and her passing from this earth. I recall a conversation with one of her Christian doctors when she was in hospice. He tenderly told Bella that she could look at her life in one of two ways- that this was the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning. Isn't this true for all of us?

None of us know when our last day on earth will be nor are we guaranteed tomorrow. However, for believers in Christ we can have peace in death is not the end but the beginning of eternal life with Him."For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Jesus took the sins of the world upon his shoulders to die a horrific death, but why? The answer is pure and simple...because of His love for ALL of us. He offers everyone this free gift of salvation for whoever believes in him, repents of their sins and believes that he rose from the dead will spend eternity with Him in heaven forever.

The crucifixion on Good Friday seems like it is the sorrowful and hopeless end but then comes resurrection Sunday which is the beginning of eternal life and our living hope in the Risen Christ!

There was a great mission held in the University of Oxford in 1931 when a thousand undergraduates were whispering, 'Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.'

As we move forward in faith trusting in our risen Savior who will lead us at the end of our life into a new beginning may we live out our remaining days with 'Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.'

Matthew 28:5-6: "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.'"
