Happy Spring & 6th "Celebration" Fundraiser

Happy month of Spring! May this new season fill your soul with joy! Angel Heart of Hope will be hosting their 6th annual "Celebration" fundraiser. This event is VIRTUAL and can be viewed and supported at your convenience. Your donations help provide gifts to children in the hospital battling cancer/life-threatening illnesses and financial assistance to their families during this harrowing journey. The monthly message is: The Language Of Love Is Universal.

When Bella was little and in her crib, she would often cry out to me at night, "Mama, r are you!" She couldn't say the word- where yet:) As I approached her room in the dark quietly, I would see her trying to lean her head to see me approaching the corner with her arms outstretched to pick her up and hold her for a few minutes. When she saw me, she would have this huge smile on her face that warmed my heart. This loving affection comforted her and gave her the peace to go back to sleep. I was so tired but would give anything to repeat this loving gesture.

Love can be expressed in so many ways verbally and non-verbally. When Bella was 6 yrs old we took her to an orphanage in my husband's hometown in Romania. She was determined to pack a separate suitcase with toys and clothes for the children. She didn't speak Romanian and couldn't communicate with the children but we quickly realized that the language of love is universal. When we walked in the manager was so kind and gracious and took us around to see the children. There was one little girl around 4 years old that impacted Bella's life and ours forever. The little girl in the crib was deaf and mute and she was holding her arms outstretched and excitedly opening and closing her hands to Bella. 

Immediately, Bella walked over to her and I stood there with tears in my eyes, rolling down my cheeks as I watched Bella take a necklace off that she was wearing and place it around the little girl's neck.  They were hugging each other, jumping up and down and laughing:) Those priceless memories are forever etched in my mind and heart.

All of us, those around us and in our world are hurting and troubled at some point in time but we can be the person to make others feel loved even with a small gesture. This can be as simple as a few encouraging words, a hug, smile, prayer, text or phone call, letting someone go ahead of you in line, etc... Basically, assuring others that they are not alone, valued and loved no matter what they are going through.  Believers in Jesus are children of God. Just as we cry out to Him for help and are loved, let's open our eyes to others, providing them with the heartfelt love of a child and the message of hope in Jesus.

The scripture verse: 1 John 4:7

 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Hera Lainey has legally changed her to name to Thomasin Grace. She is a music singing artist and a dear friend who created a single "Some People Never", written and sung by her in memory of Bella. It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute!
