Happy Spring! This Sunday, May 5th is the Orthodox Easter and we are always celebrating the good news of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Families who have a child with cancer/life-threatening illnesses face many challenges including extra financial burdens and stress due to hospital stays. Your support gives hope to these families through our gifts and financial assistance programs. None of us at Angel Heart of Hope have a salary and we can't do this without YOU! No donation is too small and we are always accepting donations and business sponsorships throughout the year because the needs of these families are ongoing.

Hera Lainey has legally changed her to name to Thomasin Grace. She is a music singing artist and a dear friend who created a single "Some People Never", written and sung by her in memory of Bella. It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute! This monthly message "Overcomer through Jesus" is in honor of everyone who is battling or facing a trial in their life right now. You are not alone!

Recently, a beautiful gospel Christian artist, Mandisa, passed away at a young age unexpectedly but her inspirational gift of music will live on. During Bella's cancer journey, she introduced me to Mandisa's music and the song "Overcomer." As we watched her video, tears streamed down my face as the video displayed other famous people who were battling cancer.

I can't begin to tell you the number of times we listened to that song, even in the middle of the night, for encouragement and assurance that we have hope in Jesus!

At our first public 5K fundraiser, we played "Overcomer" at the end in Bella's memory and for all of those who were battling and battled cancer. Every single person is an "Overcomer" and can defeat death by their faith in Jesus! Praise God!

Here are some of the words from her song that I want to close and share with you...

"Whatever it is you may be going through, I know He’s not gonna let it get the best of you- You’re an overcomer!

Stay in the fight ‘til the final round. You’re not going under ‘Cause God is holding you right now.

 You might be down for a moment, Feeling like it’s hopeless, That’s when He reminds You- That you’re an overcomer, You’re an overcomer! 

Everybody’s been down, Hit the bottom, hit the ground, Oh, you’re not alone. 

Just take a breath, don’t forget Hang on to His promises- He wants You to know:

 The same Man, the Great I am, The One who overcame death Is living inside of You.

 So just hold tight, fix your eyes On the One who holds your life, There’s nothing He can’t do. He’s telling you, YOU'RE AN OVERCOMER!"
